Paul Evans has been working as a professional artist for over 50 years. He left Eastbourne College of Art in the mid-1970's, having studied illustration and printmaking with teachers Robert Tavener and Trevor Kemp. During his career he has held over 100 solo exhibitions and many group shows, and over 1000 images of his work have been reproduced worldwide by large publishers including Aquarelle Publishing and Royal Doulton. He owns his own gallery where there is a fine curated selection of new paintings, prints, books and cards.
Paul's inspiration comes from many landscapes including favourite places in his native East Sussex, Kent, Suffolk and Cornwall. His paintings explore locations throughout the year capturing a sense of place, time, season and light. Paul has always been highly motivated, with a true passion for his subject. His work has been acquired by collectors worldwide, and he also has a large and loyal following closer to home.
